Job Summary
Conduct preventative dental care and patient education in a fee-for-service model with two doctors. Perform clinical duties including dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation while utilizing Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems. Maintain patient oral health through ongoing mentorship and continuing education opportunities. Requires a current Texas license, Associate's or Bachelor's degree, and CPR certification. Full-time hours include Mon-Thu 7:50 am to 4:30 pm and one Friday per month.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Dental Hygienist with TX credentials
- Current dental hygienist license in Texas and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions
