Job Summary
Provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health through clinical procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and x-rays while maintaining records in electronic medical systems. Deliver a white-glove patient experience within a 13-person collaborative team supported by in-office mentorship and virtual training sessions. Complete required TB testing prior to employment and adhere to physical demands including prolonged standing and lifting up to 45 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Michigan
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
