Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative maintenance, while utilizing diagnostic tools like Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and electronic medical record systems. Perform essential duties such as prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and lift up to 45 pounds as required by the clinical needs of the office. Complete a mandatory tuberculosis test prior to starting employment and attend periodic virtual or in-person training sessions. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional Friday coverage, joining a supportive team dedicated to delivering high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry
- Excellent working knowledge of dental hygiene procedures
- Excellent working knowledge of dental patient screening
- Excellent working knowledge of medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
