Job Summary
Provide oral hygiene services including thorough prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents. Accurately chart patient dental history, periodontal health, and treatment records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Administer local anesthetics as permitted by the dental practice act and offer counseling on nutrition and oral hygiene techniques. Partner with dentists and support staff to build robust recall programs and deliver preventative care.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program
- valid state license
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff
