Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative maintenance care. Utilize diagnostic tools such as Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and x-rays while maintaining records in electronic medical record systems. Perform essential duties requiring prolonged sitting and standing, with the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds. Complete required TB testing prior to employment and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Join a team supporting over 3,000 doctors across 39 states, gaining access to mentorship and continuing education to enhance clinical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Minnesota
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
