Job Summary
Perform advanced prophylactic and preventive dental procedures in a clinic setting, including complete oral prophylaxis, deep subgingival scaling, root planning, curettage, and administration of local anesthesia. Prepare treatment plans, interpret routine X-rays, and educate patients and staff on oral hygiene. Coordinate with the dentist under the Dental Supervisor and manage care for a range of patients from healthy to those with diabetes, cardiac conditions, or periodontal disease. Maintain patient records, provide post-procedure instructions, and contribute to community dental prevention efforts. Requires completion of a Dental Hygiene curriculum and licensure eligibility in Oklahoma.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Dental Hygiene curriculum from an accredited institution
- Licensure or ability to be licensed to practice Dental Hygiene in Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry
- One (1) year of relevant experience recommended but not required
