Job Summary
Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene care while building trusting relationships with patients. Educate patients about their oral health and treatment needs, collaborating closely with the doctor and clinical team to deliver an exceptional patient experience at every visit. Continue developing clinical skills through a dedicated mentorship program and access to continuing education opportunities. This role offers full hygienist autonomy to practice at the top of your license within a supportive, collaborative environment focused on long-term patient relationships rather than high-volume sales. Candidates must hold a current Minnesota hygiene license, an associate's or bachelor's degree, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current Hygiene license in Minnesota
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
