Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
Provide patient care and support in an enthusiastic way, building personal connections at every visit. Collect dental and medical history, prepare patients for orthodontic treatment, and take X-rays while following safety procedures. Examine gums for infections, clean teeth by removing plaque, polishing, and flossing, and perform bonding, bracket removal, and arch wire placement. Educate patients on oral hygiene habits, update records, and handle lab duties as instructed. Maintain instruments and supplies, call patients for aftercare, and travel to satellite locations if necessary. Work full-time with guaranteed hours, quarterly bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program
- Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within province, in good standing
- Current CPR and First Aid training
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not required
- Experience in an orthodontic office is preferred but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, an ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease
- Great time management and organizational skills
