Job Summary
Provide patient care and support by collecting dental and medical history, examining gums for infections, and cleaning teeth to remove plaque. Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment by taking X-rays following safety procedures, bonding and removing brackets, and placing or removing arch wires. Educate patients on oral hygiene habits, update records, and perform lab duties as instructed. Maintain instruments, call patients for aftercare, and travel to satellite locations if necessary. Work full-time with guaranteed shift hours and quarterly bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program
- Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within province, in good standing
- Current CPR and First Aid training
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Experience in an orthodontic office
