Job Summary
Welcome patients, review medical and dental histories, and perform comprehensive oral health assessments to identify conditions such as gingivitis, periodontal disease, and dental caries. Conduct professional cleanings including plaque removal, polishing, and fluoride treatments, while taking digital X-rays and impressions as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, provide post-treatment instructions, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Ensure treatment rooms and instruments are properly sterilized and monitor inventory levels. Requires current unrestricted license, strong infection control knowledge, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Dental Hygienist license
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety standards
- Experience taking dental radiographs and maintaining dental equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, patient-focused approach
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment while delivering outstanding patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental practice preferred
- Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor's or Master's degree is a plus)
