Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including patient screening, medical history documentation, and preventative care, while utilizing advanced technologies such as lasers, AI, and digital scanners. Educate patients on the connection between oral and systemic health, promoting lifelong oral wellness and preventive maintenance. Collaborate within a supportive, team-centered environment to deliver exceptional patient outcomes through innovative therapies like myofunctional treatment and guided biofilm regeneration. Maintain clinical skills through ongoing continuing education and mentorship opportunities. Complete required pre-employment TB testing and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Dental Hygienist with SC credentials
  • Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test

  • Openness to alternative hygiene approaches such as guided biofilm regeneration and salivary analysis
