Job Summary
Conduct 60-minute recall and 90-minute new patient appointments while utilizing Dentrix for electronic medical record documentation. Perform patient screening, medical history updates, and preventative care maintenance. Utilize Velscope, iTero, and Arestin as clinically indicated, with access to CE coverage and mentorship support. Complete required TB testing and attend periodic virtual or in-person training sessions. Work flexible full-time or part-time hours across Monday through Friday to support a collaborative 13-person team within a stable, industry-leading practice network.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Missouri
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
