Job Summary

Provide exceptional lifetime patient care as an elite clinical provider and patient advocate, utilizing full clinical autonomy to deliver preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health. Deliver outstanding patient care while leveraging a robust hygiene mentor program and unparalleled educational offerings to enhance your clinical skills. Work within a collaborative, connected team environment that supports full clinical autonomy and encourages work-life balance. This role requires a current Virginia dental hygienist license, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, and CPR certification. Candidates must be available for virtual training sessions and complete a pre-employment tuberculosis test.

Required Qualifications

  • Current dental hygienist license in Virginia
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test

Desired Qualifications

  • Has Dentrix experience or is open to learning
  • Has iTero experience or is excited to expand digital scanning skills
  • Is a new graduate with a local anesthesia license or obtaining one
  • Appreciates a collaborative, connected team environment
  • Values a fun, hardworking, and welcoming atmosphere
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
