Job Summary
Provide exceptional lifetime patient care as an elite clinical provider and patient advocate within a collaborative six-person team. Deliver preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health while utilizing best-in-class non-clclinical support and a robust hygiene mentor program to enhance clinical skills. Maintain full clinical autonomy to give patients focused time and attention, supported by unparalleled continuing education and access to a vast network of experts. Complete required TB testing and attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically. Work full-time Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 5:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 12:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Maryland
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Has Dentrix experience or is open to learning
- Has iTero experience or is excited to expand digital scanning skills
- Is a new graduate with a local anesthesia license
- Appreciates a collaborative, connected team environment
- Values a fun, hardworking, and welcoming atmosphere
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
