Job Summary
Provide patient-focused dental hygiene care including screenings, cleanings, and assisting dentists with exams and procedures. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, discussing care plans, preparing sterilized equipment, taking vital signs and medical histories, performing preliminary screenings, evaluating for oral disease and infection, removing plaque and applying fluoride, teaching good oral hygiene, creating dental impressions, exposing x-rays, and adhering to health and safety regulations while supporting the dentist during exams. Requires an ADA-accredited associate degree, current dental hygienist licensure, 1-2 years of experience, HIPAA and safety knowledge, and strong communication/customer service skills. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Current Dental Hygienist licensure
- At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
