Job Summary
Provide coaching and mentoring to dental hygienists on patient care, technique, and professional best practices through chairside one-on-one sessions and group training. Develop individualized plans to enhance clinical skills and address performance gaps while enforcing training programs for the latest dental hygiene techniques, tools, and patient management systems. Offer constructive feedback, guidance, and support to build confidence and improve the quality of care provided. Monitor key performance metrics to assess coaching success, analyze trends in patient care outcomes, and prepare progress reports for the management team. Support the 16 local offices in the New York and Connecticut Region as part of Dental Care Alliance's mission to advance dentistry.
Required Qualifications
- Active, state-issued Dental Hygiene license
- Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices, tools and patient care protocols
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement and track effective training programs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general hygiene data
- Ability to solve practical problems and navigate situations with limited standardization
- Ability to develop processes and systems to ensure goals and objectives are consistently met
- Commitment to developing people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals
- Capable of making timely and sound decisions, even with incomplete information
- Ability to anticipate future trends and implications, and translate them into actionable strategies
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of prior experience in coaching, mentoring, or training within a dental practice or similar healthcare setting
