Job Summary

Deliver didactic and laboratory instruction, prepare lesson plans and assessments, and supervise student clinical skills while ensuring patient safety and infection control standards. Evaluate and document student performance fairly, provide academic advising during office hours, and maintain accurate attendance and grade records. Participate in curriculum review, accreditation activities, and faculty in-service training to maintain contemporary expertise. Support outcomes data collection and comply with all institutional and safety policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Academic credentials appropriate to the courses taught and consistent with ACCSC and CAPTE expectations for PTA faculty; degree at least equivalent to the credential the program awards
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state(s) in which the program operates
  • Contemporary expertise in the content area taught, maintained through continuing education
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience as a PT or PTA
  • Effective communication, laboratory instruction, and student supervision skills
