Job Summary
Deliver direct patient care including scaling, prophylaxis, x-rays, sealant application, and fluoride treatments under dentist supervision. Assess dental conditions and medical histories while educating patients and parents on oral hygiene. Provide excellent customer service by offering Same Day Care opportunities and maintain accurate dental and perio charting. Support the office mission to create over a million smiles annually by delivering compassionate care to a patient base that is 70% or more children.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in good standing
- Assess the dental condition and needs of patients and review patients' medical history
- Deliver direct patient care to patients, including scaling and prophylaxis, x-rays, application of sealants and fluoride, and related procedures, under the general supervision of a dentist
- Educate patients and parents in oral hygiene instruction
- Provide excellent customer service by looking for opportunities to offer Same Day Care
- Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient
