Job Summary
Check patients in and out, directing patient flow, while obtaining, reviewing, and updating patient demographics, insurance, and financial data in the PMS. Collect account balances by discussing balances with patients and maintaining recall systems for scheduled and unscheduled lists. Manage dental reception and collection functions, including insurance administration, co-pay tracking, and deductibles. This full-time role requires advanced computer skills, dental terminology knowledge, and is available Monday through Thursday with evening coverage on Fridays. Required Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience
- Dental reception experience
- Collection experience
- Advanced computer and data entry skills
- Must be able to perform primary functions of position
- Serve as first-point of contact and check patients in & out, directing patient flow
- Obtain, review, update and data entry of patient demographics, insurance and financials in PMS
- Maintain and identify different insurance types, co-pays and deductibles
- Discuss account balance with patient and collect patient balance
- Maintain recall system and manage ASAP, Wait, Will Call and unscheduled lists
