Job Summary
Oversee daily dental clinic operations by supervising assistants, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with FQHC, HRSA, and OSHA standards. Conduct team meetings, mentor staff, and maintain inventory while collaborating with the Dental Office Manager to resolve workflow challenges. Deliver high-quality patient care, address concerns professionally, and enforce protocols for electronic dental records. Assist with new hire onboarding, perform periodic evaluations, and track performance metrics. This full-time, in-person role in Sacramento supports a non-profit mission serving underserved populations, offering 401(k) matching and comprehensive health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental office setting
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with electronic dental record systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- In-depth knowledge of dental clinic operations, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification in dental assisting or another relevant credential
