Job Summary
The Dental Clinic Director is responsible for clinical leadership, providing direct dental care, overseeing clinical practices, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing operational responsibilities. This role involves administrative duties, oversight of quality customer-owner care, and accountability for financial and quality improvement across multiple specialties. Candidates must graduate from an accredited dental school, hold a valid Alaska dental license, and have three years of post-graduate experience or demonstrated proficiency. Maintaining various health certifications and compliance with employee health requirements is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
- Licensed in the State of Alaska as a General Dentist or Dental Specialty – Pediatric Dentistry
- Meet all requirements to obtain and maintain medical staff membership and required privileges of service
- Three (3) years of post-graduate experience as a Dentist or Pediatric Dentist or demonstrated proficiency as a Dentist or Pediatric Dentist at SCF
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Other certifications required for specialty (ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS)
Additional Requirements
- Native Preference under P.L. 93-638 policy in hiring, contracting and training
- Compliance with Employee Health procedure is a condition of SCF employment
