Job Summary
Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction to students using diverse teaching methods and varied instructional techniques. Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment while adhering to course syllabi and accreditation requirements. Engage in program improvement processes by regularly assessing student learning outcomes and utilizing data to enhance course effectiveness. Provide proactive academic advising, tutoring, and office hours to support student success and career development. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings, faculty development activities, and student affairs initiatives. Mentor new faculty members and ensure compliance with institutional, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Dental Assisting Certificate of Achievement
- Current CA Registered Dental Assistant held for minimum 2 years
- BLS for the Healthcare Provider
- Radiation Safety
- Coronal Polish and Pit and Fissure
- Infection Control
- Dental Practice Act
- CA Infection Control
- 2 years of field experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret materials related to area of expertise
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Ability to perform basic calculations relevant to course material and student assessments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and any software required for course delivery
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
