Job Summary
Assist dentists during patient procedures, prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments, take and develop dental X-rays, maintain patient records and scheduling, ensure infection control and safety, educate patients on oral hygiene, and provide front desk support as needed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, Wyoming Radiology Certification, current CRP/OSHA/HIPAA certifications, and preferred completion of a dental assisting program with potential CDA certification; experience in a dental office and familiarity with Dentrix/Dexis is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Wyoming Radiology Certification
- Current CRP, OSHA, and HIPAA certifications
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) is a plus
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for managing patient records and scheduling. Experience in Dentrix, Microsoft, Google Workspace, and Dexis is a plus
