Job Summary
Dental Assistant needed to support the dental provider team in all aspects of care delivery, including radiographs, prophylaxes, coronal polishing, topical fluoride, and expanded functions under dentist supervision. Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying eligibility, charting and data entry, assisting with procedures (restorations, sealants, root canals, pulpotomies/pulptecties, extractions), maintaining instruments and sterilization, documenting patient care, and providing oral hygiene education. Must be proficient in HIPAA, medical terminology, and Microsoft Office, with strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Requires high school diploma, accredited dental assisting program graduation, certs in radiography and coronal polish/topical fluoride, BLS, and various certifications; 1+ year experience preferred; RDA certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program
- Dental Assistant Certificate (NAMTS)
- Radiographic certification
- Coronal Polish/Topical Applicator certification
- Provider-level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum one year of recent dental assisting experience preferred
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification preferred
