Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service with an excellent chair-side manner, prioritizing patient experience during procedures. Take direction from doctors and hygienists to assist with all dental procedures while anticipating their needs. Take, develop, and mount accurate radiographs, and review patient charts prior to doctor arrival to log data and transcribe notes. Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment per guidelines, and educate patients on their care. Partner with the team to maintain schedule flow, assist front office with follow-ups, and monitor dental supply levels. Complete daily checklists, participate in huddles, and ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance. X-ray sponsorship available for radiology certification. Overtime required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Current radiography certification
- Dental Assistant certification, as required by state, or ability to become certified
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
- Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact
- Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills
- Professionalism and integrity in all aspects of the job, including image and both verbal and written communication skills
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, including conflict resolution skills
- Strong organization, planning and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs as required
- Overtime required as approved by Operations Leader
- Travel as needed for training and to perform job functions
- Safety procedures and personal protective equipment required to minimize the risks from radiographs and blood-borne pathogens
- Potential of prolonged sitting and standing
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia
