Job Summary

Provide exceptional chair-side support to doctors and hygienists by assisting with all dental procedures, taking high-quality radiographs, and maintaining excellent patient flow. Review patient charts prior to appointments, log health history, and transcribe doctor's notes while educating patients and addressing their concerns. Clean, sterilize, and prepare operatory equipment per guidelines, monitor dental supplies, and track lab cases to ensure timely product delivery. Complete daily checklists, participate in huddles, and maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance throughout the shift. Assist front office staff with scheduling follow-up visits and promote supported practice services and retail products.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Current radiography certification
  • Dental Assistant certification, as required by state, or ability to become certified
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
  • Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact
  • Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills
  • Professionalism and integrity in all aspects of the job, including image and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, including conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organization, planning and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs as required
  • Overtime required as approved by Operations Leader
  • Travel as needed for training and to perform job functions
  • Safety procedures and personal protective equipment required to minimize the risks from radiographs and blood-borne pathogens
  • Potential of prolonged sitting and standing

Desired Qualifications

  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) preferred
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia preferred
