Job Summary
Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures, sterilize instruments, mix restorative materials, and perform intra-oral and extra-oral x-rays while developing and mounting x-ray films. Maintain dental charts, keep records of findings, and schedule patient appointments. Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, order materials, and ensure tray setup for patients. Complete daily instrument counts, perform dental screenings, and maintain clinic cleanliness and sanitation. Obtain and maintain CPR certification and all state-mandated trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Certification in Dental Technology from an accredited school
- Experience within either a private or public dental practice as a Dental Technician or Registered Dental Assistant
- Consistent sound judgment with dental decisions within the correctional healthcare environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification
- Attainment and maintenance of all State mandated certifications or trainings
