Job Summary
Dental Assistant to support clinical and administrative dental services at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Provides chair-side assistance for general and specialty dental procedures (restorative, prosthodontic, surgical), prepares treatment rooms and instruments, assists during procedures by retracting tissue, suctioning, and passing instruments, and takes and processes digital radiographs. Maintains infection control protocols per VA safety standards and supports patient-focused care under the Dental Chief or designee. Must be available Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with occasional Saturday shifts. No license required; DANB certification accepted but not mandatory. Current BLS certification required. Prior dental assisting experience preferred, especially in a clinical or VA setting.
