Job Summary
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, perform dental radiographs and scans, and document baseline patient information. Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and patient rooms, while providing exceptional patient care throughout their visit. Take impressions of patients' teeth, communicate effectively and efficiently, and maintain a "team first" and "patient first" mentality. Continuously increase dentistry knowledge and job skills while adhering to State, Federal, and local compliance standards. Fluently speak and write in English with familiarity of dental terminology, and possess the ability to travel to other locations as needed. Requires a Texas RDA License after 1+ years of certification, CPR/BLS certification, and basic computer skills. This role involves working more than 40 hours per week in a clinical studio environment that can be noisy and distracting.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in English; verbal and written
- Familiarity with dental terminology
- Ability to travel to other locations as needed
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate of Completion from a Dental Assisting Course
- Texas RDA License
- CPR and/or BLS certification
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods
- Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week
- Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to handle sharp objects
- Must be able to move objects up to 50 pounds
