Job Summary
Dental Assistant needed to support the dentist across all specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and oral surgery. Responsibilities include preparing patients and treatment areas, taking and exposing dental X-rays, maintaining patient flow, setting up instrument trays, sterilizing instruments, assisting chairside, managing patient records in the practice management software, providing preoperative explanations and postoperative instructions, and supporting inventory and safety compliance. May relocate to other Dental Depot clinics as needed; may mentor interns on safety policies and procedures; requires reliable attendance and professional conduct; travel not required as per listing (in-person at Surprise, AZ).
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Dental Assisting Program or minimum one year experience as a Dental Assistant
- Current Dental Assisting Permit Required
- Current CPR Certification Required
- X-Ray Certification is required
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance if using a company or personal vehicle for company business
- HIPAA knowledge and compliance
- CDT codes knowledge and passing the CDT test within 20 days of employment
