Job Summary

Provide exceptional customer service with an excellent chair-side manner, prioritizing patient experience during procedures. Take direction from doctors and hygienists to assist with dental work, anticipate needs, and review patient charts before appointments. Perform efficient procedures to maintain schedule flow, while taking, developing, and mounting accurate radiographs. Clean, sterilize, and prepare operatory equipment per guidelines, and educate patients on their care. Partner with clinical and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations, including completing checklists and participating in huddles. Monitor dental supplies when assigned and assist front office with scheduling follow-ups and tracking lab cases. Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow OSHA safety policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Current radiography certification
  • Dental Assistant certification, as required by state, or ability to become certified
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
  • Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact
  • Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills
  • Professionalism and integrity in all aspects of the job, including image and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, including conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organization, planning and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs as required
  • Overtime required as approved by Operations Leader
  • Travel as needed for training and to perform job functions
  • Safety procedures and personal protective equipment required to minimize the risks from radiographs and blood-borne pathogens
  • Potential of prolonged sitting and standing

Desired Qualifications

  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) preferred
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia preferred
  • Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred
