Job Summary
Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills through lectures, demonstrations, and Ross curriculum. Deliver instruction in 4.5-hour day or evening sessions as a part-time instructor, typically working 0-18 hours per week. Maintain student records using current technology while demonstrating professionalism and treating all students equally. This role supports Ross Education's mission to train future health care professionals at its Sylvania, OH campus.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in the field
- national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB)
- formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross
- Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use white board and use classroom/office equipment
- Ability to use current technology to maintain student records
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
- Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct
- Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
- Must be flexible
- have a passion to learn and grow
Desired Qualifications
