Job Summary
Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills through lectures, demonstrations, and Ross curriculum. Deliver instruction in 4.5-hour day or evening sessions as a fully trained instructor for year-round classes. Maintain student records using current technology while demonstrating professionalism and adhering to the Code of Conduct. Support student mentorship and facilitate participation by moving around the classroom to meet student needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in the field
- national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB)
- formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross
- If you do not have the formal education, you can also qualify with 5+ years' experience in the field and a national certification
- Interest in teaching or prior experience
- Must be flexible
- have a passion to learn and grow
- Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time
- move around the building and classroom
- Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment
