Dental Assistant

Job Summary
Sterilize dental instruments and equipment for each patient, organize and lay out instruments for the dentist's use, and assist during procedures using state-of-the-art equipment. Help with patient care by handing instruments and materials, taking x-rays and impressions, using suction and swabs to keep mouths clear, and managing patient records including obtaining history and recording information for the dentist. Advise patients on dental care and help make them feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment. Order supplies and attend all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Certified as a Dental Assistant
- Must be x-ray certified
- Highly professional and dependable
- Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, staff, vendors, and others
- Excellent telephone skills
- Strong computer and internet skills
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience preferred
- Current CPR certification a plus
