Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures while welcoming, comforting, and educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models, and ensure infection control protocols are followed. Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, scheduling, and intake. Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory. Part-time Tuesdays and Fridays; competitive hourly pay $25 minimum to $28 maximum.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
- Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
- X-Ray certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Annual OSHA training
- HIPAA training
- Infection control training
Desired Qualifications
- Nitrous Oxide certification
