Job Summary
Welcome patients, prepare them for treatment, and ensure their comfort throughout the visit. Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies while sterilizing tools according to regulations. Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry, provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions, and keep the dental room clean and well-stocked. Schedule appointments and post-op visits, maintain accurate patient records, and assist with payment procedures. Ensure excellent patient service by addressing concerns and answering questions proactively.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1+ years of experience as dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A strong attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- A high school diploma
- A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
- An active state radiology license (if required by law)
