Job Summary
Perform RDA functions, take diagnostically acceptable radiographs, and assist the dentist in all chairside procedures. Chart periodontal data, record treatment plans, and manage lab cases including impressions. Provide comfort to apprehensive patients and deliver post-operative instructions. Prepare and stock treatment rooms, maintain inventory, and sterilize instruments per OSHA guidelines. Maintain dental unit water lines, autoclaves, and spore testing documentation while reporting equipment failures. Educate volunteers and students on clinic policies.
Required Qualifications
- CPR certification
- Radiography certification
- Previous dental assisting experience
- Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend
- Must have completed and be able to show proof having completed a board approved radiography course, if not a graduate of an ADA CODA accredited program
