Job Summary
Greet patients, escort them to treatment rooms, and prepare units for procedures while verifying charts and updating health information in the Dentrix Electronic Health Records. Assist dentists with patient management and nitrous oxide sedation, perform coronal polishing, and provide oral hygiene instruction and nutritional counseling. Manage daily operations by conducting morning staff meetings, checking schedules, monitoring supplies inventory, and ensuring sterilization procedures are followed for instruments and treatment rooms. Maintain dental equipment, including autoclaves and water lines, and securely store patient records per HIPAA guidelines. Work flexible schedules including evenings and Saturdays with a shift differential, earning up to $32/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Dental Assistant, with certification, working toward their RDA License
- Minimum of six months of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant
- Current X-Ray license
- Current BLS Certification
- Must be able to assist the Dentist with nitrous oxide sedation and patient management
- Ability to work in a fast paced Community Health Clinic environment
- Experience working in a multilingual/multicultural setting
- Ability to explain treatment plans to patients effectively
- Ability to work with children
- Must have legible handwriting for notations
- High attention to detail, organized, and has the ability to multi-task
- Ability to multitask and follow directions
- Intermediate computer use experience, including MS Office/MS Outlook
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to remain focused at all times to properly support Dental Providers
- Ability to work evenings and Saturdays
- Fulfill immunization and fit for duty regulatory requirements
- May be required to occasionally lift at least 20 – 25lbs
- Prolonged standing, stooping and reaching

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in EPIC Electronic Health Records
- Dentrix Electronic Health Records software experience
- Bilingual skills (any language)
