Job Summary
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques, while preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining dental instruments in accordance with infection control standards. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, maintain accurate patient records using software such as Dentrix or Open Dental, and educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment plans. Coordinate appointments, monitor inventory, and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety protocols to support the clinical team. This role offers a flexible schedule with pay ranging from $22 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all infection control and safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Dental Assistant experience
- Experience with Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft
- Familiarity with 3D scanners
- CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, dependability, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care
