Job Summary
This role involves assisting the Dentist in all phases of restorative, surgical, and preventive dental treatments, ensuring a safe and friendly environment for patients. Responsibilities include providing chair-side assistance, cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments, and maintaining patient records.
Required Qualifications
- Dental Assistant Certification from a Nationally Accredited Program and American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Driver's License and Personal Vehicle Insurance
- One year of current dental assisting, chairside experience
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
- Operating business computers and software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and institutional regulations and guidelines for dental outpatient services
- Ability to develop and process dental radiographs
- Knowledge of sterile procedures
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with Caregiver Law and Grant conditions including a criminal history check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must obtain additional education and training as required
