Job Summary
Prepare instruments and patients for surgical implant procedures, assisting the surgeon and CRNA with intubation and the operation itself. Take impressions, pour molds, capture patient photos, and perform X-rays and cone beam imaging. Set up and dismantle operation rooms, adjust and reline prosthesis, and place orders for implant supplies. Deliver pre- and post-op instructions, manage patient expectations, and handle sterilization and daily cleaning. Meet lab deadlines to ensure prosthetics are ready within 24 hours, while completing surgery reports and reviewing patient charts for the next day.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dental Assistant with all the proper certifications
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Self Starter who works well as as a part of a team
- Patient-centric with good communication skills
- Outgoing and empathetic
- Flexible and a quick learner
- Great organizational skills and high level of office aptitude
