Job Summary
Assist chairside across a full range of dental procedures by anticipating clinician needs and preparing post-treatment instructions. Set up and turn over treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to protocol while running the sterilisation room: clean, package, sterilise, store, and maintain accurate digital records. Welcome, seat, and reassure patients to ensure comfort throughout their visit, and help with charting, digital X-rays, and managing surgery stock. Pitch in at reception and across the team when the day calls for it. This full-time role at Coastal Dental Care's Mudgeeraba practice includes a Monday roster from 7:30am to 6:15pm and Wednesdays through Fridays from 7:30am to 5:30pm with breaks.
Required Qualifications
- Some experience in a healthcare or customer-facing role
- A solid understanding of infection control and sterilisation protocols, or a genuine eagerness to develop them
- Clear, warm communication with patients and team members
- Ability to prioritise, manage your time, and work well in a team
- Professional presentation and up-to-date immunisations
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Working knowledge of Dental4Windows (D4W)
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, or the willingness to work towards one
- Experience with reception or front-desk duties
