Job Summary
Dental Assistant position in Mesa requires assisting the dentist across specialties, preparing patients, setting up instruments and materials, taking and exposing dental x-rays, recording medical/dental histories and vital signs, managing patient flow, operating computer software for patient records and inventory, training interns on safety, and maintaining sterile operatory and equipment. The role includes potential duties as Clinical Inventory Administrator or Compliance and Safety Officer, ensuring HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards are met, and may involve relocation to other clinics as needed. Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills, plus the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced dental environment, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Dental Assisting Program or minimum one year experience as a Dental Assistant
- Current Dental Assisting Permit Required
- Current CPR Certification Required
- X-Ray Certification is required to serve chairside
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA policies
- Working knowledge of CDT codes and ability to perform related tasks
- Ability to relocate to other Dental Depot clinics if needed
