Job Summary
Assist the dentist in all aspects of patient care, including preparing patients for treatment, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient records. Ensure the dental office remains clean and organized while properly sterilizing and maintaining all equipment. Provide patients with post-treatment oral care instructions and educate them on proper hygiene. Assist with anesthesia administration, perform laboratory procedures like taking impressions and pouring models, and schedule appointments. Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a dental assistant program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Ability to take accurate X-rays and impressions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
