Job Summary
Deliver assigned classes using prescribed courses of study, establish texts, and instructional materials. Provide hands-on instruction through demonstrations and practical exercises, while supervising students in laboratory and clinical settings to ensure adherence to safety and educational standards. Review and manage the procurement of medical supplies necessary for laboratory experiences, and maintain classroom and laboratory environments in optimal physical condition. Evaluate student learning by assessing competencies through return demonstrations, sign and date student skill checklists to document progress, and manage simulation scenarios to assess student responses for effectiveness and accuracy. Foster a supportive learning environment, offer ongoing mentorship, and collaborate with faculty to maintain high educational standards. Stay current with healthcare practices and standards relevant to the assigned courses.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or post-secondary education
- relevant experience meeting state (TWC) and ABHES accreditation requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the field
