Job Summary
Assists dentist during the examination and treatment of patients in the dental medicine program of Valley Health Partners. Primary responsibilities include maintaining treatment rooms, instruments, and sterilizing dental equipment. Performs clerical duties as directed such as patient check in/out and ordering supplies. This role focuses on providing dental care for a pediatric population and may involve assistance on a mobile Dental Unit.
Required Qualifications
- One year of dental assisting experience in a healthcare setting, preferred
- Successful completion of Radiation Health and Safety Exam (RHS) from Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) upon hire or within 6 months of hire
- BLS (Basic Life Support Training) upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Postsecondary nondegree award, preferred
- Dental assisting experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting, preferred
