Job Summary
Teach the standardized curriculum according to an assigned schedule while creating a learning environment that fosters student academic growth. Facilitate discussion forums, grade course activities weekly, and provide timely academic feedback to track performance and support certification. Create tailored learning support tools based on student needs and communicate effectively with program leadership and students per established timelines. Maintain an up-to-date faculty file and adhere to all federal, state, and internal compliance requirements. Work in-person on campus, including evenings and weekends as needed, while utilizing computer literacy and adult learning principles to guide professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) license
- 3 years of verifiable experience as a dental assistant
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience
- X-ray license
- Experience applying adult learning principles and practices to blended learning
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams
- Ability to inspire students to meet career goals by tying course curriculum to potential career outcomes
- Familiarity with learning management systems, student information systems, and synchronous instructional tools
