DENTAL ASSISTANT III

Job Summary
Prepare patients for dental encounters by auditing charts, taking vital signs, and capturing diagnostic x-rays. Perform simple procedures including fluoride application, sealant placement, rubber dam insertion, and suture removal while maintaining a sterile field. Assist dentists with four-handed instrument delivery, fabricate temporary crowns, and provide patient education on hygiene and operative care. Follow up on referrals, facilitate scheduling, and ensure HIPAA compliance and OSHA safety standards. Maintain equipment, flush vacuum systems, and perform quarterly water safety testing. Requires current CPR/BLS certification and bilingual skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of dental clinic experience
- Experience with dental front desk
- Working knowledge of computer
- Previous experience with dental software
- Fully competent to perform x-rays
- Competent to seat patients with vitals
- Competent in four-handed dentistry
- Competent in sterilization
- Competent in procedure preparation
- Competent in fabrication of Cerec crowns
- Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program
- Certification
- Current CPR / BLS certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Bilingual
