Job Summary
Dental Assistant II at Sea Mar Community Health Centers. Provides chair-side assistance using four-handed dentistry across diagnostic, preventive, restorative, endodontic, periodontic, oral surgery, prosthodontic, and orthodontic procedures; assists with patient flow, treatment planning, insurance pre-authorizations, and inventory. Requires completing a formal Dental Assistant program, HS diploma or GED, and a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience (or 18 months without formal training); must be registered with the WA State Department of Health, obtain BLS CPR within 90 days, and meet health-screening requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; role involves patient education, infection control, charting in Dentrix/Allscripts PM, and potential travel between sites. Salary is hourly at $22.65, annualized to $47,112 for full-time. Provides benefits including medical/dental/vision, PTO, holidays, and retirement options; Sea Mar is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completed formal Dental Assistant program
- Minimum 6 months of work experience (or 18 months if no formal training)
- Registered with Washington State Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintained
- TB testing annually
- Annual influenza vaccine or approved exemption
- English communication proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret dental materials
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
