Job Summary
Chairside dental assistant providing four-handed dental care in the Owensboro, KY clinic; duties include greeting and seating patients, taking radiographs, assisting dentists with four-hand dentistry, mixing and delivering materials, stocking and organizing operatories, sterilizing instruments, maintaining HIPAA/OSHA compliance, maintaining electronic health records, and training dental students. The ideal candidate will have EDDA/EFDA or radiology certification and experience with an electronic health record database, and will support patient-centered care with the dental faculty and Clinic Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of dental assisting experience
- One year of surgical assisting experience and/or Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) or Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA)
- radiology certification
- CPR certification
- Additional certification may be required based on dental specialty
